It’s Time to Spring Forward!!

That’s the last thing any sleep-deprived parent wants to hear.  While we can’t give you back that one precious hour of sleep, we do have an easy tip to help you and yours make the jump to life in daylight savings any time it occurs.

Here’s what you want to do (assuming you didn’t spend days gradually moving your whole family’s schedule up an hour – something none of us at RAPTbaby EVER attempted with our little ones): Get the entire family outside as soon as you wake up the morning after a daylight savings change (and a few mornings after that, if you muster the energy). Even if you just take a quick walk around the block, the exposure to daylight can help reset everyone’s circadian clock, and make the adaption to the time change faster and easier on everyone.

Also, if you want to dig in on the effects of light on your biological master clock and the many things it impacts, here’s one overview that goes deep but is still understandable to all of us non-scientists.
